Headrest DVD Players

What is Active Headrest Technology?

Active Headrest Technology (also known as AHS for Active Headrest System) is designed to reduce head and neck injuries (whiplash) in the event of a read end collision. The objective is to cushion the head and neck by moving the headrest pillow forward to adjust to the head’s relative position during a rear impact collision.

IT'S VERY IMPORTANT YOU CHECK YOUR VEHICLE FOR THIS TECHNOLOGY BEFORE CHOOSING YOUR ONFAIR HEADREST DVD PLAYER PACKAGE.

Active headrest restraint is a technology where the headrest pillow will activate and move up and forward to help reduce the distance a head moves during an accident in hopes of reducing the possibility of a whiplash injury. While our built-in headrest DVD players are very popular, we don't recommend replacing the factory headrest pillow in your vehicle if it has active headrest technology built-in.

To see if your vehicle is equipped with the active headrest restraint technology, check your owner's manual in the safety section and see what it says. If your vehicle does have active headrest restraint technology, we have the solution for your back seat entertainment needs. Check out our Active Headrest Compatible Headrest DVD Players.
